The Boys Club was named The Best Cocktail Blog by Saveur, and with recipes like this blueberry-cucumber gimlet, it’s not hard to see why. A refreshing combination of gin, citrus, fruit and veg, this cocktail is sure to please at your next party. It’s the most exciting thing to happen to a cucumber since someone realized they decrease eye puffiness.
Ted Baker London Seam Dress ($275)
Yesterday, I wrote a post for Forbes.com’s Women’s Style File about the joy of a half-sleeve dress for the summer to fall transition. This Ted Baker is the perfect example of their glory. I would wear a dress like this on a busy Friday because it’s professional enough for work but could be worn to cocktail hour. But with a cocktail like that gimlet to sip, I’d just come home, kick off my shoes and lounge barefoot on the patio for a bit.
I also love this DvF Raquel half-sleeve dress for $175. This Three Dots faux-wrap currently on sale for $38 and this v-neck Jones of New York dress is $57. If you want a flirtier skirt, this Kate Spade Jada dress can accommodate. And this Milly colorblock dress is not to be missed.
Prefer a short sleeve that is cut down by half? I own this Black Halo Gypsy Rose sheath and it’s a stunner. I also like this cobalt Kay Unger dress. In the under-$100 category, try this grey, belted Ellen Tracy or this white Tahari with a slight peplum.
Plus size: I love this Kay Unger textured sheath and this orange Tahari. Petite: This black v-neck Tahari is nice and Banana Republic has their popular square neck dress on sale right now.
That Ted Baker dress is nuts. So perfect. I bought two Ted Baker pieces about five years ago, and I’ve worn them over and over again: black tab-front coated cotton riding pants that go with *everything,* and a vest.
