Outfits vs. Clothes: White Cotton Dress

Dress: Topshop Broderie Bodice Sundress ($110)

Clockwise from Upper Left, Scarf: East Scarf (32 BP) Ring: Navy Ring ($9) Shoes: Pose Garden Sandal ($33) // Bag: Ann Taylor Nappa Clutch ($98) Bracelet: Octagon Bangles ($45) Shoes: Perforated Ballerina Flats ($25) // Sunglasses: Tortoise Sunglasses ($165) Shoes: Edelman Sutton Sandal ($125) Bag: Bucket Bag ($108)

Upper Left.  How lovely are these sandals with their perforated details and soft mauve color?  And the price?  To die.  Prefer a neutral?  These tan sandals with perforated leather ($40) are also a good choice.

I added the navy the blue as a contrast.  This inexpensive ring would be a nice addition to the jewelry box of any white metal aficionado.  But if you want a blue stone ring that is a little better quality, look at this faceted stone is nice. The print on the scarf is delicate and floral without being too pretty.  But if you want a product you can buy from a U.S. retailer, try the  Voyager Scarf ($29) from the J.Crew sale.

Right. These flats are fantastic.  Brightly colored and light for summer and spring.  I loved the coral color, and added the turquoise clutch to really make it pop.  Looking for a clutch for less?  This flap clutch with metal trim is under-$30.

I also love these octagonal bracelet stack set.  But if you want to add a bit of color, I like this wood and turquoise bangle set and this coral bead bracelet.

Bottom Left. These wedges are a nice option for women who want a little bit of height with their summer dresses.  I love the hint of metallic and the sleek look.  I also liked these Pour la Victoire wedges.

This orange bucket bag adds a pop of color, but I also like this under-$50 magenta fold-over bag.  This cobalt hobo bag would look great as well, or try this yellow tote.  And if you’d like a pair of tortoise sunnies that are a bit more wallet-friendly, these DvF sunglasses are on sale and these inexpensive shades have a dramatic vintage look to them.

I have those Sam Edelman wedges and I wear them with absolutely everything. They are especially great for summer weddings and for dressing up basic black shorts to make an outfit dressier for dinner or drinks without going for the full-on heels with shorts look, which is tough for a lot of women to pull off.

Hi Belle/fellow readers – I love the perforated sandals you posted but can’t seem to get the hyperlink to work. Does anyone have the web address so I can better drool over them or make a rash decision and put them on my Visa? Thanks!

Just google “Pose Garden sandal,” that’s how I found them 🙂

Sorry about that. It seems that in the 48 hours between my post and being written and it posting, Shopstyle stopped ft. Modcloth. I’ll keep a better eye out for this next time. Yes, I make money from some of the links on the site, but I always want to show the best stuff…or at least the stuff I like the best…regardless. Thanks everyone for helping her find the sandals.

It’s allegedly spring. However, for every minute of sunshine, there seems to be an hour of rain and gloom. So while I’d love to wear lighter spring pieces, it’s time to bring on the layers.

Business Casual Outfit: Linen Closet

And just like that, it’s April. Summer is almost upon us, and the retailers are filled with linen wares. Now, you know that I am usually unwilling to wear linen to work due to the wrinkles. But in this post-pandemic world, perhaps my mind can change.
