Wool Herringbone Schoolboy Blazer ($149 + 30% off)

This time of year, it’s good to have a wool blazer or two in your closet for professional and casual wear.  I like this blazer because it has clean, structured lines, gold buttons and a color that lends well to many combinations.  I also like the price.

J.CREW also makes a matching herringbone pant, but in my opinion, that would be way, way too much tweed for any woman to pull off.  I’d recommend mixing this with navy, grey, black or dark brown separates.  Check back at 1:00PM for Two Ways to wear this blazer.

Virginia found this blouse for $129 +30% off in a local J.CREW store.  So you might be able to find it a bit cheaper at the store.

I realize it is on sale, but as so often…not in my size. I shall check a couple of other possibilities. Thanks for these ideas belle. Love the color, but couldn't think of what I would do with it –navy, camel? Looking forward to the afternoon post.

Have a question about the Lo & Sons bag. Do you consider it a purse replacement? Or something to carry in addition to a purse or as a travel bag? I like the idea of something lightweight that carries a lot. But I'm not sure I can pull off nylon in work meetings.

Its a little pricier but the Veronica Beard Blazer is a staple for a wardrobehttps://roanshop.com/designers/veronica-beard.html.

If anyone is around Lynchburg, VA during the next week they have this exact blazer at both of the J.Crew Clearance stores in town for $50. It's what they do with all the products that are returned, so it's all new season and basically flawless. Amazing.

Gift Guide 2023: Stocking Stuffers, Pt. 1

I love stocking stuffers.  They are the best part of Christmas.  There’s just nothing quite like an affordable gift that’s funny or useful or chic (or maybe all three).  So here is Part One of my stocking stuffer gift guides, where nothing costs more than $30.
