We Are Experiencing Technical Difficulties

Apr 18, 2011

Hi Ladies,

You know that I pride myself on being able to post three posts per day regardless of what else is going on in my life.  And I have basically surrendered the majority of my free time to my blog traffic/fashion addiction, and I am okay with that because you ladies are totally worth it.

However, yesterday, some things went down that left me in no condition to finish my daily allotment of posts (not anything tragic just some unresolved issues that sort of drained me emotionally).  So I’m sure you will understand if I take a day to get my mind right and put some pieces of the puzzle back into place.

I apologize because I know that, for some of you, this blog provides the little breaks of relief during the work day that we all need to survive.  (And I know how much I hate it when there is no new content on the blogs I depend on for respite.) So please know that I am only doing this because I need to take a deep uninterrupted breath, at least for a couple of hours.

I’ll be back tomorrow with Business Casual Week.  And since offices vary so widely, if there are any burning questions you need answered or style conundrums you need solved, leave them in the comments.  Your queries will be much appreciated, and I’ll try to address as many as possible.

I leave you with this dress from Oscar de la Renta that I am totally crushing on…

Oh, and just in case the seduction wasn’t complete, this fabric also comes in a suit that somehow manages to make a full tweed suit look modern.  Is there nothing OdlR can’t do?

In the immortal words of Rachel Zoe, “I die.”  Huh, does that sentence qualify as irony?  I think, yes.

xoxo

Oh, I have a question if you need additional topics. Sandals in the work place. I feel like 99% look weird but I can't quite put my finger on why.

In spite of your three post a day being missing (two out of three ain't bad), you have found the most wonderful dress and suit to post. The fabric and detail are impeccably yummy.

Beauty Review: Bondi Boost

As I age, I notice many changes in my body. Most are fine. Some are frustrating. Like many women, I lost a lot of hair in my postpartum phase. Being anemic for more than a year after, it didn’t grow back in to its former glory. So I’ve tried any number of shampoos, pills and […]

I remember when Rochelle Behrens launched The Shirt — a button-down blouse with anti-gape technology (a patented internal button that keeps the look smooth). The Mondays: March 18, 2024

This weekend was a tricky one. The warm weather and bright sunshine of last weekend disappeared in a flurry of wet snow trapping our very active 18-month-old in the house with us. Plus, our babysitter cancelled, so neither of us feels ready for the week ahead. But in between making mac-and-cheese and watching Aristocats for […]
