Looking for the perfect match? I’m not talking about men. I’m talking about foundation.
My mother is Dutch/Indonesian/Iranian, my father is a fair-skinned all-American with Irish/German roots. This leaves me with skin that tans super-easily, a smattering of freckles atop the bridge of my nose, and a skin tone that is INCREDIBLY difficult to match.
Belle and I have traipsed to beauty counters all over the country (literally) and I have tried various formulas from Stila, Bobbi Brown, MAC, Laura Mercier, Lancome, Clinique, Neutrogena, and many more. All failures. but my quest has come to a screeching halt.
Enter Josie Maran Argan Matchmaker Serum Foundation ($42). Infused with organic Argan oil and color-adjusting pigments, this formula goes on white, then blends seamlessly to match one’s skin tone. It glides on perfectly with no lines, no streaks, no weird two-tone face/body difference. Keeping oily areas shine free, and dry areas nourished, it comes in two tones: fair to medium, and medium to dark, and it’s under $45.
A foundation for all seasons. An answer to a life-long prayer. The Prince Charming of foundations, found at Sephora. Thank you Josie, the perfect Fairy Godmother!

Do you use a primer with this foundation? Thanks!
Belle,
Would you mind letting us know when a guest author is posting at the beginning of the post? I sometimes figure it out in the middle of the post (or sometimes not until the end), but then have to go back and re-read it knowing that this is a guest author as it somehow seems to make a difference to me. It's a bit confusing/disorienting, so knowing I'm reading a post by someone else from the start would be great.
Always love to hear from Miss M!
how is the coverage? I am red/blotchy and dry need something a little more aggressive… will this also work for me…? How does it work with concealer? I am heading out this weekend on a FOUNDATION EXPEDITION… help!
Sounds like a miracle product. Does anyone know how it affects acne prone skin?
