image courtesy of Varnish Vixen Last week, I decided to hang up my beloved NARS Purple Rain nail polish and try something new on my fingertips.  Luckily, my very generous Mother recently sent me some Butter London polishes, so I decided to try a raspberry colored shade called Queen Vic.

For me, the color was the perfect shade.  It was pretty enough to sate my whim for something girly.  It was dark enough that I didn’t think it was too “Springy,” but light enough that it still looked professional vs. trendy.  And it really complimented my, “I haven’t seen the sun in three months” skin tone.

My only complaint about the polish (and this is my complaint about all Butter polishes) is how it wears.  NARS wears like iron, and I can get away with a week-plus of wear before I see chips (with one mid-week top coat reapplication).  But with Butter, I might get five days, tops. 

So that’s disappointing.

Hopefully, Miss M (I know you’re reading this!) will submit a post about her recent foray into the Axxium Gel nail world and solve my wear and tear problems once and for all.

Despite a slight issue with durability, I love this color and I can’t wait to go home tonight and paint my nails.  And I almost never feel that way.
