A few months ago, my husband killed two of my plants. I was out of town for several weeks, and while I was away, he apparently forgot that plants need water to live. So when I returned, my snake plant and my Calamondin tree were both dead, while his braided money tree continued to thrive. […]
It’s allegedly spring. However, for every minute of sunshine, there seems to be an hour of rain and gloom. So while I’d love to wear lighter spring pieces, it’s time to bring on the layers.

And just like that, it’s April. Summer is almost upon us, and the retailers are filled with linen wares. Now, you know that I am usually unwilling to wear linen to work due to the wrinkles. But in this post-pandemic world, perhaps my mind can change.
I think I like the “Unpaid Intern” version the best. These are beautiful Belle!
Those are such pretty dresses! They just wouldn't look right with my body type, unfortunately. A girl can dream, though!
I really like the Kay Unger one! It makes me wonder if I could pull off a red dress like that at a fed office building…
Belle, why did you have to tease me? That Dorothy Perkins dress is out of stock. (pouty face)
Hi fiiiiiiive! I'm overseas right now… if you like these, try searching some of the UK sites for peplum dresses and jackets as well. They've got fun ones. Thanks for the posts!
Oh ha, Dorothy Perkens. You're way ahead…
Ginny, I'm with you. These are lovely, but, unfortunately, they would all look dreadful on someone with my body type. Sigh.
You ladies might be surprised. I thought a peplum would look awful on me cause I'm a definite pear shape, but I tried one on in a size bigger than I usually wear, and once the salesgirl pinned the top up to fit me, it looked great.
