The Capitol Hill Style Resale Salon Relaunch

Jan 21, 2010

Ladies,

After giving it a lot of thought, I’m going to revive the Capitol Hill Style Resale Salon.  While the Salon is a lot of extra work to maintain, it also provides a good venue for women to sell clothing without being charged an arm and a leg.  In order to move the Salon to it’s new home on this blog, I have come up with the following plan of attack:

1) If you currently have an item(s) for sale on the Resale Salon, simply send me an email and let me know that you would like them relisted.  I will only relocate your post if you have contacted me, otherwise, the old posts will be deleted within a couple of weeks.

2) If you are new to the Resale Salon, you can learn the basics of selling and buying on the old site.  I have a had good luck moving several of my own items at prices that were slightly higher than what I would have gotten on eBay and definitely more than I would have gotten from a consignment shop.  Also, remember that I do my best to promote the Salon and make sure that all the rules are abided by even though I do not charge for the service.

So if you are looking for a place to sell some of those gently used but under utilized pieces in your closet, consider listing them on the Capitol Hill Style Resale Salon.  To list an item, ask a question or relist and existing piece, e-mail me at capitolhillstyle@gmail.com

xoxo

The Range: Spring Blouses for Work (or Zoom)

Since Sloane was born, I’ve fallen hard into a black, white, and blue wardrobe. This is not necessarily a bad thing, but as spring blooms, I need a little color in my wardrobe (and probably a little print too). Here are a few tops that caught my eye for work.

The Find: My Best Workout Shorts

For eight years, I have worn the same workout shorts. Every year, an influencer tries to sell me new shorts. I order them. I try them on. They pale in comparison to the shorts I already own. I return them.
