Since the recession made sales part-and-parcel of the retail business, Black Friday has lost a lot of its luster. But that doesn’t mean there aren’t good deals to be had. Here are five picks from the four sales that I’m shopping this year.
ASOS is having a 30% off sale with code THANKFUL30. This is one of my favorite retailers because they have petite, tall, and plus-size brands. They also carry maternity clothes that (as one of my friends eloquently put it) don’t suck. And whether you’re shopping for something affordable or something expensive, you can find it as ASOS.

Nordstrom is having a Black Friday sale, and I don’t care if the discounts are 10% or 60%, if Nordy’s is having a sale, I’m there. Period. There are a number of traditional Black Friday markdowns, as well as 20% off select sale items. So if you’re hunting for wardrobe staples, or a few seasonal pieces to get you through, definitely hit up this sale.

Cable Knit Sweater Dress ($52) // Pleione Faux-Wrap Top ($36) // Cole Haan Signature Stand Collar Coat ($99) // Sam Edelman Penny Boot ($149) // Bow Crepe A-Line Dress ($79)
Banana Republic is offering 50% off five items with no exclusions. Buy clothes for work, clothes for parties, or pick up gifts for family and friends. Whatever you need, half-price.

Double Face Scallop Dress ($138) // Logan-Fit Flannel Pant ($120) // Asymmetric Neckline Sheath ($128) // Metallic Leaf Pullover ($138) // Ruched Crossover Dress ($118)
Bloomingdales is having a progressive sale. I’m usually not a fan of “buy more, save more” sales, but at the right retailer, they can be a good deal. Bloomingdales is such a retailer. You pick up a new purse, and a pair of shoes, and enjoy you’re 20%-off. But all I’m looking for this time of year are cocktail dresses, party dresses, just bring on the dresses.

Betsey Johnson Green Lace Dress ($168) // Aqua Lace Mock Neck Dress ($98) // Keepsake Harmony Off the Shoulder ($180) // Reiss Sophia Lace Dress ($425) // Rebecca Taylor Crepe and Lace Dress ($495)
Friday sales are really the best ones… Thanks for the post

Nordstrom Rack also has 30% off their clearance prices. (Their “Clear the Rack” sales are usually only 25% off clearance.)
I took advantage of their sale by shopping online after Thanksgiving dinner, and then I went to a physical location yesterday. I spent two hours at the store! I think I tried on about 15 dresses, as well as other items. But I was successful! I got tons of deals, including a gorgeous Michael Kors trench coat for $60.
Nordstrom also has some DVF dresses on sale for 60% off
