The Outnet, Always Winning

Feb 3, 2015

The Outnet is Net-a-Porter’s discount-sale site.  Without question, it’s my favorite shop on the Internet.  Let’s just say that I watch the new arrivals section like a sailor watches the sea.

Minkoff Mini Mab Shoulder Bag ($198)

I own this bag, and I love it.  It was one of the first “splurge” purchases I bought for myself when I started work on Capitol Hill.  I’ve carried it thousands of times.  It’s the perfect mid-size with a great classic style.

Grace Stretch Ponte Dress ($130)

This dress is a great layering piece.  It comes in a midi-length, so you can hem it if you want or leave it long.  It also comes in tomato red.

Adidas by Stella McCartney Ballet Flats ($55)

I love these burgundy ballet flats.  They might be the perfect commuting shoe.  They also come in navy or pale pink.  Looking for something more substantial?  Outlet has a wide selection of Yosi Samra flats.

Ella Silk Crepe de Chine Blouse ($160)

The neckline on this blouse is the right mix of elegant and modern.  It’s not a bow, but it’s a little something extra.  Want a blouse without the added detail?  Iris & Ink makes one of those too.

Noir Jewelry Arrowhead Bracelet ($60)

This cuff is incredibly cool.  There are also matching drop earrings, which are also incredibly cool.  This ring set, in a mix of metals, is also a good choice.

Business Casual Outfit: Linen Closet

And just like that, it’s April. Summer is almost upon us, and the retailers are filled with linen wares. Now, you know that I am usually unwilling to wear linen to work due to the wrinkles. But in this post-pandemic world, perhaps my mind can change.
