Happy Hour: Fizzy Lifting Drinks

Oct 29, 2010

If you haven’t noticed, I’m a bit of a sucker for sparkles.  This is probably why I love sparkly dresses and sparkly cocktails.  But I’m trying to branch out, so if you have a favorite cocktail feel free to leave it in the comments or email it to capitolhillstyle (at) gmail (dot) com.

Anna Molinari Metallic Knit Dress (Outnet, $180)

This simple knit dress is for those nights when you need to look pretty and festive but you wish you were wearing your pajamas.  The dress has a light mauve color and a subtle sheen to make it special without being unwearable.

Add a clutch, heels and a statement necklace for evening functions.  You can also add a leather belt, tights and booties for a going out to dinner style that is both chic and comfortable.

Business Casual Outfit: Linen Closet

And just like that, it’s April. Summer is almost upon us, and the retailers are filled with linen wares. Now, you know that I am usually unwilling to wear linen to work due to the wrinkles. But in this post-pandemic world, perhaps my mind can change.
