When someone tells you that they bought a $145 long sleeve t-shirt, it’s perfectly acceptable to wonder if they’ve recently suffered a head injury. After all, the Internet is awash in inexpensive t-shirts of all kinds. But if I told you that these t-shirts sell out every time they restock, sometimes within hours, would you wonder if there was more to it?
That was how I ended up with two AYR striped t-shirts. The first one I bought because I was sure I couldn’t love a long sleeve tee enough to justify spending $145 on it. The second one I bought because I was wrong.

Halfway between a t-shirt and a sweatshirt lives this AYR Early Mornings Tee. The hem is a little longer. The sleeves are a little longer. And the ribbed collar and cuffs just make it feel perfectly relaxed. I bring up the gloriousness of this tee, because AYR is currently offering 20% off two or more tees, and they’re (unsurprisingly) selling out.
If this style isn’t your first pick, I also recommend the short sleeve Supercool tee with a sculptural cut and the Breton-inspired Divers tee, which looks like it just stepped off a beach in Nice. All of the tees are sublime. Wash on cold, lay flat to dry — 100% cotton is unforgiving.

Well now I have to have a $145 long sleeve tee. 🙂 How is sizing?
If you have a large bust, you may want to go up. Other than that, TTS, just a little boxy.
Wasn’t sure about AYR until I bought their High Hopes pant, and they are so good! Will check out tees.
Have you tried any AYR jeans? I’m tempted by the Secret Sauce cut, but with nowhere to try on in person I’m hesitant to pull the trigger. (At 6 feet, inseam is everything!)
