Sloane trashes her school shoes at a rate that baffles me. Triathletes go through fewer pairs in less time. So the shoes Mommy buys her come from Target. Daddy has different standards — he only buys Nike. He is a brand loyalist. Shopping for back to school, I came across a Nike pair that Mommy also needed.
These Nike Pacific sneakers have a fantastic retro vibe. They come in 22 color ways, but this metallic is my favorite. I like that they’re neutral enough to wear with anything, but still unique. Now Sloane and Mommy can twin.

You’ve previously mentioned that Sloan wears Rothy’s sometimes — how do those hold up? We’re trying out their sneakers (but mine also goes through sneakers at an alarming rate).
They’re good for every day wear, but it’s scooter season, and they do not hold up to being dragged across the pavement 1,000 times. The toe wears out.
I have similar silver Pumas and they have been the shoes i get the most compliments on! I’ve broken two bones in my right foot so for events for work and concerts I wear my silver Pumas and they save my feet and also look cool.
We’re an Adidas household, and my son refers to his (also courtesy of his dad) as his “Mama shoes”. Twinning is the best.
