Modern Citizen. For months, I was fed ads for this sleek, business casual clothing line. I would fill my cart, and then, abandon it.
Then, last month, they reached out to offer me a gifted dress. It felt like kismet. Yes, I will try this dress that I have repeatedly put in my cart for months. And, holy smokes, is it a good dress.

Remember when brands used to sell jersey dresses made out of thick, weighty material? Well, the Prima Jersey Midi Dress feels like 2010. The dress uses organic cotton and recycled viscose to create a fabric that drapes beautifully and feels amazing on. The cut emphasizes the waist, but feels flirty and fun. And the dolman sleeve gives you the ease of a sleeveless dress with shoulder coverage.
I received the Prima a week ago, and I’ve already worn it twice. I loved this dress so much that I bought this office-coded Evie Dress after its arrival. And I added myself to the waitlist for this cocoa-colored poplin dress.
So if you’re looking for jersey dresses and separates in modern cuts and a simple color palette, give into the ads and try Modern Citizen. These are, without question, the best under-$175 items I have seen in years; I may just buy five dresses for summer and call my shopping done.

Just chiming in that the Modern Citizen Nara tie-front sweater is the most useful, versatile work sweater I own. (In three colors.) An incredibly thick, substantial knit. With the faint dolman sleeves, it’s kind of Obi Wan Chic.
You will not regret the Evie dress. I wear it weekly and get compliments every time.
