Two Ways: In the Navy

Apr 1, 2026

This weekend, I was perusing Pinterest when I spotted an all navy look. Something about dressing in head-to-toe navy felt so fresh and crisp. I loved it for this spring season when it might still be rainy and cold, or it might be sunny and warm. Let’s have a look.

The look on the left is more casual, good for an office where jeans are acceptable. The look on the right is more professional, for those of us who are still in suits most days. They’re styled similarly, but are for two very different work places (or days of the week).

Left // Ralph Lauren Blazer // J.Crew Rigid Denim Jeans // H&M Graphic Tee // J.Crew Berkeley Shoulder Bag // COS Minimal Leather Sneaker // Krewe Sunglasses // Monica Vinader Heart Pendant

The slightly herringbone texture on this blazer makes it the perfect three-season piece. The three-button style also gives it a sleek look. Prefer a one-button blazer? Ralph Lauren also makes that style (also in petite).

Finding a navy tee that wasn’t too casual was tough. Surprisingly, H&M had this easy to wear option. I also found this Anthropologie tee. Adding the heart locket I already own from MV was a no brainer. However, if you want something with more a rocker-chic feel, try this initial heart pendant from Nordstrom.

The rigid jeans are a great option. I haven’t owned a style like this in years, but I am thinking this J.Crew pair are for me. Finish the look with these perfect, minimalist, all navy sneakers from COS. I also love these sporty navy sneakers from Steve Madden. Add in a cool pair of sunglasses and you’re done.

For the hair, I would wear it down or in a bouncy, high ponytail. For the makeup, I would keep in natural. The tendency would be to add a pop of red, but fight it. The monochromatic look is what you want, so choose a sheer berry.

Right // J.Crew Four-Season Blazer // J.Crew Four-Season Trouser // LilySilk Round Neck Tee // B-Low Kyra Belt // Kors Flex Pumps // Monica Vinader Chain // Lo & Sons Trinity Bag // Quay Tortoise Sunglasses

A navy suit is a classic. An all navy look is both simple and fresh. Take this easy, navy J.Crew suit in four-season fabric. If you need a suit sometimes, but not often, grab one in four-season fabric in navy. This is your go to choice. Want to spend a bit more, Reiss is my go to suit brand in the over $500 price range.

Here, I added this LilySilk tee. It’s just under $130, but it is real silk. Another option is this Quince tee, a little thinner than the LilySilk, but half the price.

Add these extremely comfortable, extremely wearable Kors flex pump. They also make it in a stronger, blockier heel. Prefer a flat? Try this simple pair from Zappos.

The accessories for this look are also all navy. The Lo & Sons bag is still on waitlist — comes in black, tan, and navy — but get on it. It’s an amazing lawyer, staffer, professional bag. Add in the navy belt to close the loop. And don’t miss this delicate, pretty inline heart necklace.

For the makeup, I would recommend a simple eye look. Just a simple eyeliner with a sheer gold wash. Add in some contour stick for depth.

I recently bought the Lo & Sons bag because of you, and it is truly all that. Gorgeous!

Love this fresh take on all-navy styling! The contrast between casual and professional looks is so practical. Great reminder that monochrome can feel modern, polished, and versatile for any workday setting.

Here to give a shout-out to the J. Crew Four Season suiting . . . The pieces wear well, are comfortable, and (though I prefer dry-cleaning for a crisp pants pleat) you can machine wash at home. Since they’ve been mixing in new styles, it’s easy to find older ones on Poshmark and the like (Kate pant, Regency blazer). Not an ad for J. Crew I swear – I just have to wear a lot of suits. 😂
