For Sloane’s first Christmas, I bought us all matching pajamas. It was the kind of thing that I would never have considered until the Influencer Era made Hanna Anderson a holiday must-have. But it brought me a surprising amount of joy to see us baking cinnamon rolls in our matching pajamas. The only trouble was that I could only wear the pajamas once.
This year, I’ve decided to buy coordinating pajamas, so I can wear mine again. Here are a few pairs of seasonal pjs that caught my eye.

we started doing this last year. There are 8 of us though, so it is a bit of a financial commitment. We usually go through Old Navy as they have a lot of patterns and will put the family pajamas on sale. we also loved the fact that our 5 teenagers and 5 year old son matched! The older kids were skeptical at first but even they admitted it was fun. We give the pajamas out on December 1st and tell them to wear them every night
Here’s my tip as a lover of family pjs: buy the kids ones in the next two or three sizes so the adult ones can be reused for years to come 😊 I love Boden’s matching pjs!
We bought buffalo plaid cotton pajamas, and I just buy a new pair for my oldest every year. My husband and I wear the same ones every year, and the younger kids get the hand-me-downs. It’s much less hassle this way (although I sometimes get tempted by rainbow stripes).
Do ya’ll not wear your Christmas pyjamas on days that are not Christmas? I wear mine any day of the year!
Agree!
I also did not know I was a matching pajamas person until I had a kid. My plan was to invest in one classic patter and just buy the (cheaper) kids sizes as they grew, but I could use the same ones every year. Little did I know that Hanna likes to discontinue patters.
Carter’s used to have cute patterns, even if their adult pjs were annoying, but now everything is beige. I want my Christmas pjs to look like an elf vomited festive Christmas cheer.
Thank goodness for the Hanna resale site. I just bought every size in the pattern I picked, because it’s still cheaper than new (nice) pjs for me each year. (Also, I have non matching Hanna Christmas pjs that I got on crazy clearance. I love the pattern and I wear it all the time, including on Not Christmas. Holiday lights are pretty when it’s dark all winter long!)
Thank you for adding ‘elf vomited festive Christmas cheer’ to my day. 🙂
Yup, I bought into this one too. After a year or two of various pj’s, I settled on the Hanna green stripe ones. Husband and I wear ours every year, oldest gets a new (large) pair to get her through two years. But, I had twins so I have to buy one other new set every two years. So yeah, 5 people, 2 sets every two years, works for us!! The kids also wear them year round!
