We started the week with sweaters, and we are ending it with sweaters (mostly because I need new sweaters). So let’s talk about some other great sweaters that I came across this week.

This Quince cotton fisherman sweater is $40. I don’t think there is a nicer sweater on the market in that price range. It’s a nice weight. It wears and washes well (I lay flat to dry and wash in a laundry bag.).

Aligne is one of my favorite brands. It’s relaxed, but cool. This split hem cardigan is no exception. It comes in a few colors the you can find on their website.

I haven’t purchased a cashmere sweater from J.Crew in a few years, so I’ll be interested to see what the 2025 iteration looks and feels like. But I LOVED this color. It’s bold and cool and modern.

An off the shoulder sweater is a nice look for date night. This Reiss sweater has a slouchy feel that brings that Flashdance look to life. Nordstrom has it in multiple colors.

I spotted this T Tahari sweater while searching for something else, and I thought it was a great piece for work. It’s unique, pretty, and make a little bit of a statement. I’d wear it with brown pants.

Aligne had a few pieces in the color of the JCrew sweater
I would love if you would share some sweater choices that are V-neck or more cardigans. For those of us with a bigger chest, crew necks don’t look great.
+1 on v-necks. I don’t have a bigger chest, but broad shoulders for a short girl so crewnecks tend to just make me look bigger overall.
Same. Quince makes the fisherman sweater in a v-neck (same with their cashmere sweater) https://www.quince.com/women/100-organic-cotton-v-neck-sweater?color=sky-blue&gender=women&tracker=collection_page__%2Fwomen%2Fsweaters-%26-jackets__Cotton%20Sweaters__6
I’d love to see some posts about necklace pairings with different sweaters. A lot of my necklaces are very delicate and get lost in a sweater, but I’m not sure where to start with bigger pieces that look current.
Any tips on bold options that don’t bring back the bubble necklace/giant plastic collar trends of the 2010 era?
Great question! Related (?), I’m also terrible at the necklace layering look that I thought would be a one-season trend, but seems to have persisted. I can’t quite seem to find a “stack” that has the right balance between chunky and delicate plus the lengths always seem wrong. Also…how do you do it without feeling like you’re going to be choked!
I’ve noticed lot of neck type scarfs with different tyings with sweaters in a few fashion photos.
I own the Reiss sweater in teal (bought it last year, I think). It’s a beautiful piece – I got a lot of comments when I wore it to my company’s casual holiday party with black wide leg pants and black suede booties.
