This morning, I posted a pair of a simple drawstring pants from Mango, and I promised that I would help you style them. So here are three fantastic outfits that work for casual offices or weekend wear.

Boho // This lacy, romantic blouse from Treasure & Bond makes any outfit more special. With a mix of eyelet textures and a pretty peplum, this top is sublime. For under-$100, there are few tops that bring this much style. How else would I wear this top? With denim shorts or an ivory skirt.
Adding an earthier slide from Everlane keeps the look feeling more casual. I own these sandals, and they are one of my favorite pairs for casual wear. For the bag, I chose a natural, raffia bag to pull the look together. The bucket shape gives it a bit more structure. And lastly, I added a tortoise and gold earring to add a little bit of glam, but keep it natural enough that it doesn’t feel out of place.
To style the outfit, I would wear my hair down with a bit of texture spray. I would also add a bit of bronzer to my cheekbones and a pop of pink to the apples.
Sporty // I’m always a little jealous of the sporty moms. The ones who make a pair of joggers and a quarter zip look chic. The ones who step onto the playground looking a Lululemon ad. Recreate that vibe with this navy and olive look.
This quarter zip from LL Bean fooled me when I saw it on a friend. What did she mean it wasn’t Varley or Vuori? But there it was in all its well made Maine glory. Pair it with the matching tank to complete the look. And, of course, this Quince sling bag pairs best in navy.
For the shoes, I could have selected any low profile sneaker. But, for summer, I thought I would show a different look. These Easter Mule Sneakers give you a warmer weather option that would look great with dresses.
Finally, I would style the look with a silver dome earring. And even if this is meant to be a sporty look, I never forget a little cc creme to tone down redness and an eyebrow pencil to frame the face.
Chic // Can a drawstring pant be sophisticated? If you style it correctly it can. This open weave Varley sweater is gorgeous. You can wear it over a swimsuit with shorts. You can wear it with ivory denim for work. Or you can wear it with a pair of drawstring pants for a Nancy Meyers-inspired look.
To keep this look raised, I added a snake-effect sandal from Margaux. It feels dressier than a simple slide with the ankle strap and the subtle styling. Add the canvas crescent bag with black trim and it feels like an outfit that looks sophisticated without trying too hard.
Adding this gold cuff ups the glam, but with the irregular shape, it’s not too fussy. On the lip, I want a great color like Summer Fridays in midnight berry. And if you want to make this look dressier, pull the hair up into a low bun.

Love this! Thank you for providing a clothing suggestion and then showing how to style it!
What would you wear under the knit shirt in your chic look? Always self conscious about my bra showing?
Just a nude tank.
Have you ever found a nude tank that does not create a uni-boob? That’s my unicorn dream purchase. Doesn’t have to be bra sizes and cups, but a defined space so the crochet sweater / sheer shirt underneath doesn’t look like my breasts pitched a wide tent across my chest. I’ve searched forever.
Try this one. V-neck tanks are usually better for this. https://go.shopmy.us/p-17711305
I love these outfits, thank you for posting ideas like this! However, I HATE drawstring pants. I can never tell if I’m supposed to tuck and I find shirts alwasy end up making my midsection look thicker when they lay on top of a drawstring. If anyone is looking for a very similar look, sans string, I just bought these and love them (took my smaller size in bottoms, a bit snug at first but given they’re linen I know there’s some give): https://oldnavy.gap.com/browse/product.do?pid=6832510120002&locale=en_US
Did you buy the LL Bean tank or half zip? If so, which size(s) did you buy?
I own the half zip. I always size down to the small.
Would love to see more ‘how to style’ posts. Looking for some inspiration and you think of combinations which challenge me in a good way!
Great series! Always love your Restyle posts. They give me ideas on both style and color combinations. Thanks!
On that last one … do you tuck? Do you not?!
