December. Wow. That means it’s time to look back on the prior year, and what better place to start than with the best purchases I made this year.
I bought the Prequel Gleanser ($18) (also at Target) because it was recommended by an Instagram-famous dermatologist. I wasn’t expecting much. Over the past 20+ years, I’ve tried so many game-changing skincare products that went into the trash, that I never expect much (and keep every receipt). But this product wow’ed me.
My skin is never too dry, never too oily. My skin is brighter. My skin tone is more even. My acne flare ups are significantly muted. I love it so much, I now use it on my body too.
Great product, no notes. Before you buy a pricey serum or expensive cream, but this face wash. Few products that I have ever purchased have given me more. And certainly no other product has done it for less than $20.

Love this facewash. Have also been loving layering Prequel multi-quench under my moisturizer now that the heat is blowing 24/7.
I bought this on your recommendation and I will have to pass it off to my sister. My sensory sensitivity can’t handle the jelly-like texture and I found myself dreading washing my face. Back to the old standby of Neutrogena Ultra Gentle Foaming Face Wash. Have yet to give the Vitamin C a try and see how that goes.
Have you tried a powder face wash? A friend’s daughter has similar sensory issues. I bought this off your recommendation along with the Urea Advanced Relief moisturizer. I like the Gleanser very much, but the moisturizer is life-changing. My incredibly dry skin LOVES this stuff, and I use it on both my face and body. I’m about to reorder another bottle.

agreed! i was hesitant too because i hate any marketing that is like – its so popular its probably sold out again! But I looked the other way and now love the brand. Switched from $kinceuticals vitamin c to Prequel’s too! And turn to them whenever I want to try something new.
