The Range: A Lunch Workout Outfit

Aug 1, 2024

Giving birth to Sloane in 2022 wrecked my body. My doctor assumes that I injured the ligaments attached to my coccyx, since I couldn’t sit without yelping in pain for almost seven months. After that, my pelvis was just never the same.

Did I go to the doctor to get checked out? Yes.

Did they all send me away and tell me, “Hey, this happens”? Also, yes.

So now, 23-months postpartum, we have finally reached a place where everything on my body doesn’t pop and crack when I move and I can finally exert myself a bit without pain. And since perimenopause has stolen the last bit of metabolic strength I possessed, the ability to workout couldn’t have returned at a more necessary time.

Thus, I have resolved to workout on my lunch break twice per week. Is it a lot? No. Is it an achievable goal? Yes. But it necessitates working from home in my gym attire in the morning, because who is going to shower, get dressed, get undressed, get sweaty, shower again, and get dressed again, when they work from home? Not this girl.

Here is what I wore today to prepare for a lunchtime Peloton ride.

My $9 Sunwashed Baseball Cap

Anrabess Oversized Sweatshirt

BALEAF Quick Dry Tee

BALEAF Quick-Drying Hiking Shorts

The Best Socks Ever from Celesport

On Cloud Running Shoes (If you have a Nordstrom Rack near you, they have lots of On Cloud pairs right now at good discounts.)

Good luck with the new workout plan! I find a moderate 20-minute midday workout (either strength/pilates/yoga via the Peloton app) actually does wonders for my physical and mental energy during the day. I also augment the routine with an easy walk/ride while watching trash TV in the evenings. How do the shorts compare to the North Face Aphrodites? I stalk them on Poshmark now after your recommendation!
