The Range: All the Pretty (Work) Dresses

Apr 16, 2024

Sometimes, you just want to wear something pretty to the office. Something that makes you feel good. A dress that makes your whole day better. These are those dresses.

The folded neckline on this Maggy London dress is sublime.  With or without a belt, this is such a sleek look.  This dress comes in three colors, I like the navy best, but the pale blue showed the details better.

This teal dress from Nordstrom is such a great look.  The color is sophisticated and wearable in any season.  And it has pockets, what more could you want?

I did not have chocolate brown on my Spring 2024 bingo card, but here we are.  Tuckernuck has this printed Twombly Bex dress for now and later.

This Karen Millen dress is a classic if you need to look like a character from a television show about lawyers with overly dramatic personal lives and no grasp of basic courtroom procedure.  This new color is also really lovely.

For a more relaxed look, this shirtdress from T Tahari is a fantastic option.  The black and white print is pretty without being fussy.  I also like the short collar.  For more of a traditional shirt dress style, check out this other T Tahari dress.

This Maggy London dress is another nice option for spring.  The faux wrap dress style is a great one for looking pulled together without a jacket.  Also available in misses.

  1. Hi – I love this post – thank you! The T Tahari dress link goes to the Maggy London dress. Can you provide the T Tahari link?

    Hi Abra,

Can you find something just as lovely but that is cut with seams that are vertical rather than with any horizontal dividing line? Sometimes this is called princess seam I think. I have long legs and a short torso and that can make it challenging to find a dress that matches where my natural waist lies. I’ve found that those rare dresses with vertical seaming work better but they are hard to find.
