The Range: Sleeveless Blouses

Feb 14, 2024

If your work wardrobe consists of blazers and cardigans, a good selection of sleeveless blouses can carry your toppers further. Here are several that caught my eye, all under-$125.

This sleeveless peplum sweater comes in four colors, this grey was chosen because it shows the details best.  The peplum is kind to those of us looking for a loose fit on the abdomen.

I own this raw edge silk tank from Halogen; it’s amazing.  The neckline is deep enough to pair well with blazers and v-neck cardigans, but not too deep for a conservative workplace.  The ivory is semi-sheer, but with a skin-toned bra isn’t showy.  The raw-edge trim adds a bit of something extra.

A great print will spice up any wardrobe.  I love the color palette and geometric look of this one from Ann Taylor.  Plus-size?  Try this abstract v-neck top.

A great cowl-neck shell is a wardrobe staple if you wear suits.  This one from WHBM comes in black or white, and misses or petite.  A fantastic not-so-basic piece.  If you need a plus-size option, try this one from Vince Camuto.

A different pick for me, but I like the look of this faux-leather top from Mango.  It could be really fun tucked in into a high waist jean or pant with a blazer.  I like the addition of a different texture in a neutral color.  It may not be for everyone, but I’d be willing to give it a go.

It’s allegedly spring. However, for every minute of sunshine, there seems to be an hour of rain and gloom. So while I’d love to wear lighter spring pieces, it’s time to bring on the layers.

Business Casual Outfit: Linen Closet

And just like that, it’s April. Summer is almost upon us, and the retailers are filled with linen wares. Now, you know that I am usually unwilling to wear linen to work due to the wrinkles. But in this post-pandemic world, perhaps my mind can change.
