Shopping a sale with almost 3,000 items is an Easter egg hunt. First, you have to filter by size. No point in finding the perfect thing if it doesn’t come in your size. Second, I like to sort by most expensive to least expensive. I find that the in-season pieces with the best selection are often priced a bit higher. Lastly, I set a time limit. Otherwise, I can easily fall down a 45-minute rabbit hole.
Last night, I spent some time shopping the Boden sale. The UK brand always has unique, well-made pieces that bridge the gap between the office and WFH. I find the brand runs a little small; I tend to go up one size. Here are my five best picks from the current sale.
This top is a great any season floral — it’s dark enough to be worn in cold weather, pretty enough for spring. I have a similar top, and it looks incredible under a black suit when you want something different. It just breathes a bit of life into it.
If you want the look of a bodysuit without the bottom coverage, this double layer scoop neck top is for you. The fabric is fairly thick, smooth, and opaque. Sizing runs to 22. Several color ways; white and black are just $18.
I love a dress that I can just toss on or throw in my bag for a trip, “in case.” This printed midi-dress is such a style (though I would lose the flimsy belt.). And it comes in a long length for those who need it.
For me, these racing stripe wool pants are the #1 pick of the sale. Wear them to the office with a white blouse and navy blazer or cardigan. Wear them on a casual Friday with a red sweater and navy flats. Or get out a red and white striped shirt and a white blazer for a fashion-forward look. I love them. So chic.
The thing that’s great about jacquard is that the material is thick enough, substantial enough that you can wear it without a jacket and still look pulled together. Just this top and a black pencil skirt or trouser and you’re golden. For casual wear, a black jean would be great.

How would you style the wrap dress? Midi dresses are always a challenge for me. And thin leather belt? Would a thick belt look dated? Or the other way around?
