Even if you’re not petite, Jean at Extra Petite always has a lot of great sewing and no-sew alterations hacks.  This Instagram video shows you how to fix straps that are too long with safety pins. Plus-size ladies should check out Mood’s alteration guide.

For myself, I keep a selection of safety pins in different sizes, iron-on hem tape, and the Microstitch gun to alter clothes on the fly.  When I travel, I put the hem tape and a few pins in my bag.
