I hate cords. Hate them. And running two monitors in my office, with all of the accompanying cords strewn about was more than I could bear. So I went looking for solutions, and (unsurprisingly), found them on Amazon.
Have TV cables you need to hide? This Echo Gear system installs in the wall and runs the cords behind the drywall. Think that must be tough to install? Kyle and I did it ourselves with a power drill and 30-minutes of our time, and we are not exactly “handy.”
If you have a mess of cords sticking out of an extension cable, this is the solution for you. Not only does this cable management box keep that unsightly mess hidden, it keeps the cords out of the reach of pets who might think chewing on them sounds like a great idea.
Like many people, we have beige carpet. So this cord hider in lengths of 5, 15, 0r 50 feet keeps the cords in our offices mostly hidden. It’s also curved at the edges to prevent tripping and so your office chair can glide over the top if need be.
If you just need to bundle some cords together to get them out of the way, you have a few options. I like these expandable sleeves because they’re easy to use and inexpensive. Plus, they’re really easy to zip-tie to the leg of a shelf or desk. If you want a pricier, but sturdier, solution, try these vertebrae systems.
This last item is great for when your outlet is hidden behind your furniture. This flat plug-in allows the furniture to lay flush against the wall, without needing to stick out to accommodate a cable. It’s a game changer for behind the dresser phone chargers or TV cables hidden behind the credenza.

I recently ordered the flat plug in, it’s great!
This is awesome and for some reason so soothing. Just had to drop a comment because I really enjoyed this post.
Thanks for sharing – I already have the cable management box. I bought when we adopted a new dog that loved chewing cords, I bought it to keep her safe, but was so impressed at how much better it made my office look.
Trying the flat plug next – thanks again
Love love this post! It’s as if you peaked into my home office and knew exactly what I needed to make my office more peaceful/less cluttered. For some of us, working from home isn’t going away anytime soon.
