That article on confidence is fantastic! Thanks for sharing

    • LaUren says:

It was an interesting article. I just turned 39, and I don’t know if it’s that I’m more confident than when I was younger, or if it’s just that I don’t care about the same things anymore. Or I definitely care much less than I used to. I’ve gotten better at noticing what takes up space in my thoughts, and not just passively believing everything that pops into my head about myself.

  2. AB says:

Totally identify with this. I think around 37 something changed. I suddenly had a lot more people working for me and more visibility, and instead of the adrenaline dump, panic attacks, I started only focusing on what information or direction people needed from me. It totally changed my mindset, and I no longer gave a sh*t what anyone thought about me, as long as they had what they needed to be successful. The unintended consequence was that I came across as super confident. I’ve been told I am cool under pressure, and like I have a “force field.” I definitely don’t feel like that on the inside! I just always focus on making sure whoever I’m with feels comfortable and leaves with all their questions answered. ????‍♀️

Re: the Instead of ‘I’m sorry’ article… am I the only one who finds ‘thank you for your patience’ irritating when someone is late? Not only have you kept me waiting, you’ve now presumed patience on my behalf. I much prefer a quick apology and moving on, or simply thanking me for waiting.

The Find: A Striped Tee

Without question, the most worn item in my wardrobe is a black-and-white striped tee. I wear it in winter under sweaters, in spring with white jeans, in summer with black shorts. I’ve been wearing the same one for years (it’s the best). But they don’t make it anymore. So here are some options for replacement.
