My 10yo daughter and I share a first name! I didn’t know this was a ‘thing’, but I’ve always liked my name and it seemed a good plan to give someone I love a chance to enjoy it, too.

  2. Whitney says:

Congratulations on the NYT mention— that’s exciting! You sounded spot-on.

  3. Cara says:

The no office housework article talks about a new book by Stacey Vanek Smith, Machiavelli For Women. It it is one of the best career advice books I have ever read, and certainly the one with the most specific, actionable advice. I wish it was around when I was a junior attorney. There are very few books I would recommend to female professionals, but this is absolutely one of them.

  4. RosaD says:

Wow love the name news from Italy that’s very cool!

  5. Leigh says:

Loved seeing you in the NYT article! I completely agree with you here, “When I go to Bloomingdale’s website and click on the dresses-for-work tab,” she added, “the first five are sundresses, and it’s like, ‘Where do you guys work?’”!

I feel like that with what my friends and I call the return of “The Little House on the Prairie” dresses, which is ironic, because we actually live in Nebraska!

The Find: A Striped Tee

Without question, the most worn item in my wardrobe is a black-and-white striped tee. I wear it in winter under sweaters, in spring with white jeans, in summer with black shorts. I’ve been wearing the same one for years (it’s the best). But they don’t make it anymore. So here are some options for replacement.

The Find: Like a McCall’s Pattern

When I was young, my Mother used to bring me along when she would go shopping for fabric. As a result, I spent a lot of time, killing time, flipping through pattern books. So when I spotted this dress, I was instantly transported to the pattern table at a Jo-Ann Fabrics.
