The Range: Cheery Yellow Blazers

Jan 20, 2022

It’s a bit dreary in the Pacific Northwest in the winter, so I’ve been trying to wear more color.  (Something has to brighten my day.)  And these yellow blazers caught my eye.

Yellow pairs well with blues (esp. light blue-greys), greens, neutrals, and grey.  So if you don’t know what to wear it with start with navy and then try a few different options.

Corner Office

L’Agence Chamberlain Textured Cotton Blazer ($695)

Cubicle Farm

Banana Republic Italian Wool Blazer ($209, also in petite)

Front Desk

Boohoo Ruched Sleeve Jacket ($28)

the tailoring on the L’Agence blazer – jaw-dropping!

I bought a yellow blazer when you included it in an outfit remix this summer, I’d love to see a 2-ways with outfit options for winter!

Holy crap that L’agence blazer is a work of art. As a physician in the PNW my attire consists of scrubs, hiking clothes, and workout/dog-walking gear. But I can still dream about having somewhere to wear this blazer.

The Find: A Striped Tee

Without question, the most worn item in my wardrobe is a black-and-white striped tee. I wear it in winter under sweaters, in spring with white jeans, in summer with black shorts. I’ve been wearing the same one for years (it’s the best). But they don’t make it anymore. So here are some options for replacement.

The Find: Like a McCall’s Pattern

When I was young, my Mother used to bring me along when she would go shopping for fabric. As a result, I spent a lot of time, killing time, flipping through pattern books. So when I spotted this dress, I was instantly transported to the pattern table at a Jo-Ann Fabrics.
