Back to Basics: Wrap Blouses

A wrap top may not seem like a basic, but once you own one, you will understand why it reaches staple status.  If your weight fluctuates (and whose doesn’t these days), a wrap blouse creates a flattering, comfortable look.  I wear mine with wide leg pants or pencil skirts or jeans on casual days.

& Other Stories is my go-to source for anything with a wrap — blouses, dresses, sweaters.  Their selection is always best.  Their price points are a Zara level, and the quality is about the same, sometimes better.

This black-dotted blouse is a really nice option for black separates.  They also have this nice all-black option.  And if you’re feeling loungewear, try this TENCEL top in khaki or black.

Another brand that often has wrap-style tops is Vince Camuto.  This bold hibiscus color is nice.  It’s also available in plus size, as is this basic black one.

Wrap tops are a great throw on piece because they look polished with or without a jacket.  Just add a good earring and a good shoe and be on your merry way.

Could you speak to the sizing? Is it more Ann Taylor or more department store sizing?

More H&M or Zara, so a bit smaller.
