Best Picks from the Black Friday Sales

Nov 23, 2020

Struggling retailers are starting their Black Friday sales early.  So many of your favorite brands have deep discounts on everything from makeup to clothing to home goods.  I put together a short list of the best sales with a few of my favorite picks from each.

Banana Republic // 50% Off Everything, no code // Banana has expanded their product line to include some really fantastic loungewear pieces.  So if you’re preparing to hunker down for the winter, this fuzzy cardigan and joggers are both good picks.

Need workwear?  Banana’s suiting line is on sale, as well as some fabulous tops and blouses.  This satin blouse caught my eye, as did this mini dot tie-neck blouse.

Verishop // Take 25% off full-priced fashion and 15% off full-priced home and beauty, code HOLIDAY // Whatever you need, Verishop has it.  Clothing, makeup, home, gifts, everything.

I bought this Bala Bangles Power Ring to add to my home workout set up.  And I’m thinking about buying Kyle this upgraded version of our electric kettle.

LOFT // Up to 60% off 100’s of styles // LOFT is the best for relaxed clothing and cute accessories.  I grabbed this cheetah print blanket scarf to pair with my ivory coat.

Shopbop // An incredible selection of sale items from designer to discount // This Veronica Beard button-up is great for casual or work wear.  And these Alexandre Birman heels are classic, you can wear them next week or next year.

Boden // Up to 30%-off Items // My favorite section at Boden is always the dresses.  From sheaths to jersey a-lines, they have it all. And when the dresses are this well-made, they’ll last until you need them.

Kate Spade // Up to 50% Off Select Styles // This dome satchel is a fantastic work bag, as is this Margaux Satchel.  Need a gift for your younger sister, niece, or friend?  A Kate Spade wallet is always a nice choice.

Nordstrom // Up to 50% Off women’s, men’s, beauty, home and kids // The Nordstrom women’s sale has everything.  I picked up some intimates, pajamas, and a blazer.  Just re-stocked some basics.  So if something in your closet needs a refresh or you need a gift, have a look.  On the beauty front, this selection of MAC lipsticks would make a good gift for younger woman or teenage girl.

J Crew is also having a 50% off sale, and up to 60% off sale sale! Coats are included while cashmere is not. They still had some of those cool Quilted Downtown Field jacket that I had been eyeing longingly since you posted about it too. I seem to be getting colder more easier with every passing year, so stocking up on sweatshirts and mid-weight jackets for layering, even in SoCal.

I have that Banana Republic fuzzy cardigan sweater from a couple of seasons ago. Get comments every time I wear it! love it!

My Best Amazon Fashion Finds

One of the hallmarks of being middle-aged is buying your clothing in the same place you buy your groceries. For some people it’s Costco, for others it’s Target, for me, it’s Amazon. Yesterday, I opened a box that contained a bag of dog treats, gummy candy, a tin of olive oil and a dress. So […]
