If you wear foundation, blush, powder and/or eyeshadow on a regular basis, then you need a nice set of makeup brushes. Makeup brushes come in different materials (natural or synthetic) and types (bronzer, buffer, etc.). But the easiest way to buy makeup brushes is in a set. Here are a few options in different price points.

If you’re looking for Sigma brushes, you can usually find some at TJ Maxx (even the online store). Occasionally, Costco too but that’s a lot rarer
HIGHLY recommend the Real Techniques brushes made in collaboration with Sam and Nic Chapman. You can grab them at Target or Ulta, and you don’t have to buy a set to have what you need, although they do sell sets for eyes, complexion, lip, etc.
Another vote for the real techniques. I love them, and even know makeup artists that say they have rounded out their kits with them, and find themselves reaching for them over their expensive ones
