The Range: Simple Bralettes

Sep 28, 2020

Jeans. Pedicures. Bras. All things that have become optional, verging on unnecessary during the pandemic.  But if you’re hunting for a bra that you can wear all-day, try a smooth bralette.  No underwire.  No lace.  Just comfort and support.

Corner Office

Cosabella Soft Curvy Bralette
Sizes 28DD to 40H and sizes 28A to 38D

Cubicle Farm

Sloggi Zero Feel Bralette

I haven’t been particularly impressed with the support of the Cosabella busty bralettes, but then, I don’t fall neatly into any of their sizes. However, I have been absolutely living in Sugar Candy bras all quarantine and would recommend them to anyone with a fuller bust.

The Front Desk bralette links to the same bralette as the Cubicle Farm bralette.

I especially like bralettes for size fluctuation, I don’t want to buy a bunch of new underwires that I don’t want to wear anyway, but a couple of bralettes that will fit now and later are great.

I really liked the Sloggi at first, but after a few washes (delicate, on cold, line dry) it has really lost its shape and is all saggy on the sides. Not sure if anyone else has experienced that.

I bought a few of the Free Press house brand (I think) bralettes from Nordstrom’s Rack at the beginning of the pandemic, and have loved them. I don’t need a lot of support so can’t speak to that. Way more comfortable than a regular bra, with or without wire. I don’t know what I’m going to do when I have to go back to the office – it’ll be like I’m a teenager again and have to learn to deal with the discomfort of wearing a bra all of the time. (Minus the self consciousness.)

After an extensive search, I’m super happy with the Harper Wilde Bliss bralette. Very soft and comfortable but a nice amount of support – and I’m pretty busty. I’m even content to wear it out of the house under t-shirts, which I can’t say for my other bralettes, including True&Co.

Beauty Review: Bondi Boost

As I age, I notice many changes in my body. Most are fine. Some are frustrating. Like many women, I lost a lot of hair in my postpartum phase. Being anemic for more than a year after, it didn’t grow back in to its former glory. So I’ve tried any number of shampoos, pills and […]

The Find: Shirts That Don’t Gape

I remember when Rochelle Behrens launched The Shirt — a button-down blouse with anti-gape technology (a patented internal button that keeps the look smooth). The idea seemed brilliant, but at the time, my bust didn’t require an extra button. One baby later, I understand the need for some extra security.
