Zoom Outfit Ideas That Rock, Pt. II

Sep 3, 2020

As work meetings continue via video conference, most of us just need to look our best from the waist up.  Here are a few outfits, complete with hair a beauty recommendations, to keep the business on top, leggings on bottom look kicking.

Top // Earrings // Hair Tutorial // Lip Gloss

This rust-colored blouse is perfect for fall.  The mock neck and balloon sleeve are on-trend for the season.  And the speckled print should pop on a Zoom call.

I chose the wood earrings because I wanted the outfit to keep its earthy feel.  The brand, Soko, is handcrafted by female artisans in Kenya out of recycled materials.  These triangle cut-out hoops and these circle wave earrings also caught my eye.

To round out the look, I chose a loosely waved hair do loaded with texturizing spray.  For the makeup, I selected a sheer, berry lip wash.  The deep fall lip color should set off the neutral tones in the top nicely.

Scarf // Earrings // Shirt // Hair Tutorial

A chambray shirt has been my pandemic go-to.  I toss it on over jeans and it looks good enough that I am presentable for casual meetings.  This J.Crew version is fantastic.  Plus-size?  This Old Navy shirt is a good choice.

To jazz up a basic top, I like the look of this teased ponytail with a pretty scarf tied in it.  I chose this Tory Burch scarf for its summery palette.  If you’re looking for a different hue, this AT floral scarf and this rust and pale blue scarf are both lovely.

I finished up with a uniquely shaped earring.  They’re a bit pricey, but they’re the kind of earring that you can wear everyday.

Sweater // Cami // Mascara // Necklace // Hair Tutorial

The interplay between the sand-colored knit and the smooth, pale cream tank is really feminine.  It’s the kind of outfit that is effortlessly chic.  Looking for a less expensive cardigan?  Try this cable knit sweater from Goodnight Macaroon.  Plus-size?  Try this balloon sleeve cardigan.

I don’t usually like heart jewelry, but I thought this Andornia pendant was adorable.  Looking for something more neutral?  This dog tag necklace is chic.

Lastly, I put up this lash lifting mascara from Charlotte Tilbury.  The hairdo is a fun one for longer hair.  It can be worn casually or formally.  It works best if you braid while the hair is still damp.

I love the palette of the last look but always worry those kinds of camis can look like lingerie…

Well, done! I really liked this post! I love that the looks are all classic, but bit a different. The scarf in the ponytail looks like a fun, trendy change, and I’m here for it.

P.S. I’ve been a reader since 2013, and I still look forward to all of your posts! So keep on keeping on! 🙂
