Maxi dresses are my cold office in the summertime saviors.  They keep my legs warm, but are breezy enough to wear outside on hot days.  And recently, I discovered that Mango has the most incredible selection of affordable maxi dresses on the Interwebs.  From floral prints to bright colors, Mango has you covered (don’t miss the black dress!).

That black dress is the stuff of Stevie-Nicks-summer-dreams.

Serious question. Is there a requirement for where a maxi dress should hit you on the leg without looking weird? I am a tall gal who loves maxis but let’s face it the tall options are few and far between and they dont always hit the ankle when when advertised as tall length. Thoughts?

I think as long as it’s mid-calf or lower, you’re okay. At mid-calf is more of a long midi, but could be very flattering.

These look adorable. It has been a while since I bought dresses from Mango. How is their sizing now ? I’m 5’3”, 132lbs and usually wear 2R or 4/6P in JCrew.

    • Belle says:

Still a little small. I’d go for a 4 probably, unless you’re bigger on one part of your body than another. So like, I’m a smaller top, so I can do a 4 top. But in a dress I need a six to accommodate for my hips.

That yellow one is gorgeous for attending a summer wedding… which, you know, aren’t happening, but a girl can dream…

Business Casual Outfit: Linen Closet

And just like that, it’s April. Summer is almost upon us, and the retailers are filled with linen wares. Now, you know that I am usually unwilling to wear linen to work due to the wrinkles. But in this post-pandemic world, perhaps my mind can change.
