Fabulous idea. would love more ideas for printed / colorful tops etc — and makeup tips! — that make me look human on video calls. even when i’m wearing PJs 🙂

    • Anne says:

Yes! I bought the smocked square neck Jcrew factory top in every print/color they made it in and have gotten compliments ever time I wear it on work calls. Such a cute top without being a typical button down.

    • L says:

I bought this easy contour kit at the beginning of WFH because every single one of my calls is on camera. https://www.sephora.com/product/step-by-step-contour-kit-P387426?icid2=products%20grid:p387426. I LOVE it. It makes a huge difference in how I look on camera. I don’t use it every day–I reserve it for external facing meetings/events and days when I’m on camera literally all day staring at my super tired face. I also starting filling in my brows with powder daily and putting on lipstick instead of just clear lip balm.

  2. N says:

also what do you do with your hair when wearing some gigantic earphones? OR — suggest some earphones that are minimal but with a clear mic? love you Abra

    • Belle says:

Let me ask my husband. He wears a mic’ed headset that he likes.

    • AMANDA says:

Gigantic headphone user here. I pull up the front third or so into a little pony that sits behind the headband. Gives me more volume and keeps my hair from getting caught.

  3. Kay says:

If we click links but don’t buy, does that help your metrics? What if we buy a different item on the site instead?

Definitely want to support you, but not sure how traffic is measured.

What headphones are you using with Zoom? I stopped wearing earrings entirely because my most comfortable headphones go over my ears and cover everything up.

My headphones are not the most stylish either. I wish I had better options, but they work and are comfortable.

  5. SAM says:

Love this post! Also nice that investing in these pieces has post-COVID utility (whenever that may be)

I love this content! Earring/top/hairstyle recommendations for Zoom are perfect right now.

The Find: A Versatile Sweater Jacket

It’s allegedly spring. However, for every minute of sunshine, there seems to be an hour of rain and gloom. So while I’d love to wear lighter spring pieces, it’s time to bring on the layers.

Business Casual Outfit: Linen Closet

And just like that, it’s April. Summer is almost upon us, and the retailers are filled with linen wares. Now, you know that I am usually unwilling to wear linen to work due to the wrinkles. But in this post-pandemic world, perhaps my mind can change.

The Range: Spring Blouses for Work (or Zoom)

Since Sloane was born, I’ve fallen hard into a black, white, and blue wardrobe. This is not necessarily a bad thing, but as spring blooms, I need a little color in my wardrobe (and probably a little print too). Here are a few tops that caught my eye for work.
