This falls under the heading of Absolutely Necessary Information, a recipe for making two chocolate chip cookies.  That’s right, just two.

Because if I bake 18 cookies, I’m eating 18 cookies.  So God bless the blogger at No. 2 Pencil for sparing me from that fate by providing me with the ability to bake just two cookies.

Maybe I’ll bake four so I can share with Kyle.

I love that cookie recipe from No. 2 pencil! I use a smallish cookie scoop and it makes 6, perfect for me to split with my husband. I love to experiment with add-ins in place of regular chocolate chips in small recipes like this- my favorite is chopped dried cherries with white and dark chocolate chips.

  2. LJG says:

The other option, for most cookie recipes, is to make the full recipe, but then scoop and freeze them to bake when “needed.” We have a toaster oven, so it’s perfect for that.

    • A says:

This is what I do. I’m down to the last 6 nestle toll house balls in the freezer, so time to make and roll a new batch of those and some smitten kitchen confetti cookies, which also freeze well unbaked.

    • Stefanie S. says:

I do this as well – it’s also a great gift for a family with a new baby. Dinner and some frozen, pre-portioned cookie dough.

  3. Rhianna says:

I find it interesting that people are worried about privacy and technology around contact tracing, but are okay with Alexa, Facebook, etc using similar tech and data to market to them. It’s like don’t help me save lives but help me spend money. I know that by using above mentioned tech, I am giving up a lot of privacy. I guess I assumed others realized that too. This was not an original thought from me, I heard it discussed on Arm Chair Expert fact check.

    • Belle says:

Some risks you’ve already absorbed into your daily life. People are either too in need of Facebook to quit, or they don’t understand how much tracking they’re really doing.

  4. Linda says:

Couldn’t read the Fortune article about breast implants without a subscription.

    • Meg says:

On your phone, try using reader view. I was able to read the full article that way. While I fully support subscribing to magazines and newspapers I love, I also know that I can’t afford to do that for every one-off article I want to read.

The Find: A Striped Tee

Without question, the most worn item in my wardrobe is a black-and-white striped tee. I wear it in winter under sweaters, in spring with white jeans, in summer with black shorts. I’ve been wearing the same one for years (it’s the best). But they don’t make it anymore. So here are some options for replacement.

The Find: Like a McCall’s Pattern

When I was young, my Mother used to bring me along when she would go shopping for fabric. As a result, I spent a lot of time, killing time, flipping through pattern books. So when I spotted this dress, I was instantly transported to the pattern table at a Jo-Ann Fabrics.
