WFH Summer Items: With Ann Taylor

May 19, 2020

How many times have I needed a new piece of clothing for a big meeting, for a trip, or just to boost my spirits and found what I needed at Ann Taylor?  So many times.

When I gained so much weight working the Montana Legislative Session (why does everyone have candy?!?!) that none of my clothes fit?  Ann Taylor.

When I was on a business trip and realized that I had forgotten to pack a business suit?  Ann Taylor.

When I packed a cocktail dress for a wedding where the dress code turned out to be much more casual?  Ann Taylor.

So when I started thinking about where to find pieces that I could wear in my home office and when I go back to a real office, I decided to take a look at Ann Taylor.

AT is also running an incredible sale right now.  50% off of one item.  60% off of two items.  70% off of three items.  Some exclusions apply.  Here are the pieces that I feel I could wear on a high energy WFH day and back to work.

Belted Midi Shirtdress ($159)

Camp Shirt ($69.50, petite and tall)

Geo Shirred Jersey Dress ($129)

Marled 3/4 Sleeve Sweater ($69)

Poppy Check Wrap Dress ($119)

Wide Leg Crop Jeans ($98)

Puff Sleeve Open Sweater Jacket ($105)

that wrap dress is knocked down to $30! unreal. and you’re the one who taught me when you gain a bunch of weight wrap dresses become a saving grace… perhaps that’s why I now own 3.

We must have different quarantine experiences because none of these look appealing right now. Or I have fashion depression.

    • Belle says:

Could be a bit of depression. But I’m trying to use clothes to lift my mood (when I feel up to it), try a wrap dress. It’s easy, comfy, and when you wear it with fuzzy slippers, you get the best of both worlds.

  3. Laura says:

Oh my goodness thank you. I just graduated from law school and started at a firm and really needed more suiting. Got two jackets two pants a dress four tops and a pair of earrings for $300!?!

  4. BRidget says:

I also love Ann Taylor, and it’s my go-to for work clothes. I actually feel guilty not buying anything from them right now. I’m terrified they’ll go out of business, but I also can’t justify the expense.

    • Belle says:

If you’re not shopping at all, I completely understand. But if you’re just looking for more comfortable, WFH clothes, you can still support Ann.Inc. by shopping at LOFT and Lou & Grey.

I always think it’s funny when people send rude or overly personal questions when I put […]

I love stocking stuffers.  They are the best part of Christmas.  There’s just nothing quite like an affordable gift that’s funny or useful or chic (or maybe all three).  So here is Part One of my stocking stuffer gift guides, where nothing costs more than $30.

Add to Cart: Five Recent Amazon Purchases

Since my daughter was born, Amazon has claimed so much of my money that I had to buy stock just to get some of it back.  Between the formula, onesies, fruit pouches, diapers, wipes, and ever evolving list of baby development gear, I could not survive without Prime.   My husband no longer notices the […]
