Summer WFH Items: A T-Shirt Maxi

May 18, 2020

Working from home has definitely changed how I feel about my wardrobe.  It’s not that my office clothing is uncomfortable, but with the current state of things, I need more comfort than my pencil skirts allow.  Enter the jersey maxi-dress.

I own a couple of Daily Ritual’s Jersey Crewneck Dresses, and they’re good.  BUT, but, I just ordered one of their Lived-In Crewneck Dresses, and it is better.

The fabric is more forgiving and a bit heavier weight, which is nice.  The dress comes in 13 colors and patterns.  As for sizing, the dress runs from XS to XXL.  I’m a small size 6 and pear-shaped, so an XS is a hair snug in the hips, which I prefer to the small that is too big in the waist.

These are great throw-on dresses for days when you need something easy that looks nice.  I usually wear mine with a denim jacket with the cuffs and collar turned up and a simple sandal.  Prefer a knee-length dress?  This t-shirt hem dress in the same lived-in fabric is worth a look.

I’m wearing one right now! Albeit with pink fuzzy slippers…no one on my calls knows that 😉

I live in DR jersey dresses in the summer anyway, but now more than ever! I can easily throw on a jacket or cardi for a video call (several times a day) and not feel like a schlub.

Discovered these thanks to you – I’m wearing my black one, and had my olive maxi on over the weekend. They are the best!

Wearing one right now (grey stripe) with a Barefoot Dreams cardigan! An essential!

How long does the dress run? I’m 5’1” and wondering if this would be dragging on the floor.

I lived in this dress last summer, washed and dried it twice a week and it still looks good. I just bought another in a different color a few weeks ago. Truly one of my top 5 purchases of all time.

Beauty Review: Bondi Boost

The Find: Shirts That Don’t Gape

I remember when Rochelle Behrens launched The Shirt — a button-down blouse with anti-gape technology (a patented internal button that keeps the look smooth). The idea seemed brilliant, but at the time, my bust didn’t require an extra button. One baby later, I understand the need for some extra security.
