A good denim jacket works magic with casual attire. Light wash, dark wash, a little distressed, whatever suits your style. Here are a few outfits to wear yours with.
I usually like a darker wash, but this perfectly aged lighter wash just spoke to me. I also like this darker jacket from Oasis. And Gap’s Icon Denim Jacket is a classic. Plus-size? Madewell has you covered, same with petites.
One. Eileen Fisher Tunic // Vince Camuto Ponte Pants // Rothy’s Camo Points // Sterling Forever Pendant
If it’s still chilly where you are, this simple, comfortable outfit bridges the gap between winter and spring. The tunic is a classic, but you can find a similar look for much less from Daily Ritual. It’s an easy item that pairs well with jeans, leggings, or a simple pencil skirt.
Here, I paired it with a pair of simple, comfortable ponte trouser that is very comfortable. I also recommend these affordable skinny pull-on pants from Rack.
Add a simple necklace for a bit of extra. Oh, and don’t miss the dark camo Rothy’s. These are really the perfect relaxed shoe for black pants. For the hair, I would wear it down in loose waves.
Two. Madewell Raglan Dress (sale priced) // Veja Gold Sneaker // Cognac Alexa Tote // AllSaints Hexagon Hoops
How fabulous is the dusty pink color of this Madewell dress? I snapped it up for summer. The midi-length and side vents make it good for now and for summer. Also, in plus.
I chose a simple sneaker in preparation for days spent at farmer’s markets and walking downtown. These Veja sneakers are everywhere. I also like these very cool Stan Smith sneakers and these open-back Superga sneakers. All pairs are under-$150 (because they’re sneakers, and paying more seems unnecessary).
I added a cool bag (such a neat shape and good price) and a pair of Ray-Ban aviators. I also chose these AllSaints earrings. If you’ve never looked into AllSaints jewelry, do. It’s the perfect mix of classic and cool at a reasonable price.
To spice it up, I’d wear a rich berry hue on my fingers. I always like OPI’s Bogota Blackberry.
Three. Ann Taylor Paperbag Trouser (50%-off) // Polo Ralph Lauren Button-Up // BR Toe-Ring Sandal (<$50!) // Shashi Chain of Command Bracelet
I just wanted a reason to use these fantastic, verdant AT trousers. They’re so bright and cheery. These wider-crop AT pants are also nice and come in several colors. To complement the bright pant, I chose the simplest shirt possible.
These toe-ring sandals are a fabulous basic. Casual, easy. I also like these mid-price Greek style sandals, very chic. Need a wide shoe? Try these from Softwalk.
For this look, I would wear my hair up; keep it off my collar. I like this very simple low bun.
Four. Madewell Striped T-Shirt Dress (<$30) // Hush Puppies Kendal Flat // Mixed Chain Horn Pendant
I don’t have a lot of bandwidth to think about my appearance right now. This outfit couldn’t be simpler. Striped dress, red shoe, long necklace, denim jacket, done. No thinking, just classics.
I like the Madewell t-shirt dress. I bought this Amazon Essentials dress last summer and was very happy with the quality for the price. Plus-size? Try this Eloges dress from Zulily.
The shoes for this outfit are supposed to be very comfortable. I would also consider the Everlane 40-hour flat.

Thx for continuing to post and let us daydream about farmers markets, coffees in outdoor cafes with friends and the clothes we will “need” for those and other fun activities. I also appreciate the other thoughtful posts you have been doing. I have found that I need to keep away from twitter and all but essential news or I get too down. As a result, blogs like yours are really helpful, letting me feel connected and encouraging daydreams.
