Dress Week: Lady in Red

Dec 5, 2019

During the legislative session, red was my power color.  Mostly because in a crowded legislative chamber, wearing red makes it easy for people to find you.  And with the holidays upon us, a red dress works for the seasonal festivities and for making a splash at work.

This Donna Karan Faux Wrap is perfectly sleek and sophisticated.  It’s also under-$150.  Runs sizes 2-16.

Looking for more mid-price red options?  Donna Karan also makes this square neck dress with a shorter sleeve.  And Hugo Boss made this ruched-side dress with a brushstroke print.

Need something under-$100?  This Boden Emily Ponte Midi Dress and this Tahari sheath dress both caught my eye.

Plus-size? Check out this Maeve Jocelyn dress (also in misses).  Petite or Tall?  I like the dolman sleeves on this NY&Co. dress.

Add to Cart: Five Recent Amazon Purchases

Since my daughter was born, Amazon has claimed so much of my money that I had to buy stock just to get some of it back.  Between the formula, onesies, fruit pouches, diapers, wipes, and ever evolving list of baby development gear, I could not survive without Prime.   My husband no longer notices the […]
