When Kyle and I were planning the wedding, I knew I wanted a brunch reception. So for our cocktail hour, instead of serving tequila shots and mini-tacos (save those for the rehearsal dinner), we’re having donut holes and coffee. And ever since I saw this adorable snap on Instagram, my social feeds were flooded with ads for personalized wedding stamps.
I found Lise and her shop, @lilimandrill, on Etsy and was completely taken with her adorable designs. She sketches bridal couples, whole families, pets, etc. for use on stamps, coffee mugs, or temporary tattoos. Or she’ll draw up a portrait sketch for you to use in any way you like for just $40.
I’ve purchased a lot of wedding items through Etsy, and I have never had a better shopping experience. I sent in my request, with our photos, and had a response same day. Lise sent a draft sketch the next day, and the final version two days later. My stamp was dropped in the mail just 24-hours after that. Amazing customer service, and very responsive.
My biggest concern when I sent Lise our photos was that the sketch wouldn’t look like us. So I was thrilled to pieces when I opened her e-mail and saw a perfectly charming drawing of Kyle and I staring back at me.
While we’re using our stamp to personalize items for our wedding, these little sketches and stamps would make a charming gift for many occasions.
You could add an image of your family, kids, or pets to your holiday cards, birthday invites, or graduation announcements. A teacher friend is ordering this one with an encouraging message like “Great Job!.” From a new baby to a new pet, the sky is the limit on how you can use this fun little stamp.
{this post contains links that may generate commission for the author; But as with all Saw It On Social posts, I paid for my stamp from @lilimandrill with my own money, no gifts or cash has changed hands for my writing of this post. She doesn’t even know I’m promoting her business. I just had such a great experience that I wanted to share.}
This is adorable! I would love a roundup of some of the favorite items you found for your wedding. Maybe post-wedding so it contains the perspective of the things you ultimately were super glad that you purchased?
Yes, this would be extremely useful! There are plenty of places with reviews of big ticket items (photographers, venues, etc), but not a lot of places I trust to review these types of little but impactful items for a wedding.
Yes! I would love to see a post of your wedding must haves – especially the smaller items like this adorable stamp.
Love this!
Wow, I had Lise do a stamp for me that I gave as a wedding gift nine years ago now. I also had a great experience. I’m glad her shop is still going strong. Thanks for reminding me of her!
