It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit. — Harry S. Truman

Teed. This $30 Banana Republic t-shirt has a shirttail hem. So good!

Numbers. How old is 37? Depends on your gender.

Frocked. $75 dresses at Ann Taylor (petite and tall).  I grabbed this pretty floral.

Sold. Inside the Trader Joe’s black market. Who needs Everything Bagel seasoning?

Relaxed. Bought both the white and teal in this dress for casual Fridays.

Boosted. Three salary negotiating mistakes, and how to avoid them.

Brighten. This illuminator is great for a subtle glow, especially on tired skin.

Admitted. A D.C. school tries to stop parents from sabotaging other student’s futures so that their kids can get ahead. (When did college admissions become House of Cards?)

Bagged. Rebecca Minkoff sale — Love this crossbody and grey satchel.

Played. Why don’t female candidates get asked about their hobbies?

My friend, Barb, is an incredible person.  She and her partner Jayne have built an amazing business.  She is so devoted to her two boys.  But the has a weird fetish…one that causes her to make dioramas with Peeps.  Luckily she lives in a city that embraces that.

Washingtonian did a fun profile about her work.  And you can follow her creations on Instagram at We The Peeple.

The Find: A Striped Tee

Without question, the most worn item in my wardrobe is a black-and-white striped tee. I wear it in winter under sweaters, in spring with white jeans, in summer with black shorts. I’ve been wearing the same one for years (it’s the best). But they don’t make it anymore. So here are some options for replacement.

Three Outfits I’ll Wear All Spring

When I started this blog, influencers still re-wore clothes. There were no haul videos filled with the latest from Shein before it winds up in a beach in Ghana poisoning the planet. There were no sponsored campaigns delivering fresh wardrobes each month. The content machine doesn’t like reruns.

The Find: Like a McCall’s Pattern

When I was young, my Mother used to bring me along when she would go shopping for fabric. As a result, I spent a lot of time, killing time, flipping through pattern books. So when I spotted this dress, I was instantly transported to the pattern table at a Jo-Ann Fabrics.
