Jump, and you will find out how to unfold your wings as you fall. — Ray Bradbury

Altered. A guide to changing your life every 90-days, because growth and change matter.

Sprung. 40% off at LOFT, code NEWNOW.  This gorgeous “modern raincoat” caught my eye.

Sparkling. How to clean your shower head (because it’s gross).

Contained. Loving these simple, ivory vases from Hearth & Hand.

Questioned. A first time employer’s guide to interviewing potential hires.

Worked. Check out Amazon Fashion’s Work Shop. I picked up this a-line Donna Morgan dress.

Hilarious. A man “figured out” how many tampons a woman will need per year.  See if you can spot the problem with his math.

Sparkled. This unique sequined skirt is everything. Love it.

Utilized. It’s not the productivity tools (Slack, etc.), it’s how you use them.

Summered. Move over Cult Gaia. This beachy tote is the next must-have “blogger bag.”

Fighting Back. Sen. Martha McSally was the first female combat pilot, she was the first woman to lead a squadron, and now, she’s standing up for her fellow airmen by sharing the story of her sexual assault.

Chicken Satay is one of those foods that is always better in a restaurant.  Or is it?  This recipe was so easy.  And in a town where Thai food is almost non-existent, making this at home has become one of my favorite weekend meals.

One thing the Career Contessa article didn’t include was notifying candidates who didn’t make the final cut. I always send an email to anyone I talked to so they know the process has ended. I’m interviewing for jobs now and, on the other side, I get so annoyed when people can’t take 5 minutes to let me know! Uncertainty is the worst, sending rejection emails is the kind thing to do.

  2. Hannah says:

It’s alarming (but not surprising, I guess) that a man would try to tell women how tampons they need. Still, that article was hilarious and totally made my day.

  3. sc says:

Every time a guy posts anything about periods, I roll my eyes so effing hard. It’s baffling how unbelievably clueless they are about periods. Nine periods per year? And one tampon a day? I can’t EVEN!

  4. Rebecca says:

LOL! That guy’s tampon estimate amused me nearly as much as the NASA engineers who thought Sally Ride would need 100 tampons for a 7-day space flight!

And just like that, it’s April. Summer is almost upon us, and the retailers are filled with linen wares. Now, you know that I am usually unwilling to wear linen to work due to the wrinkles. But in this post-pandemic world, perhaps my mind can change.

The Range: Spring Blouses for Work (or Zoom)

Since Sloane was born, I’ve fallen hard into a black, white, and blue wardrobe. This is not necessarily a bad thing, but as spring blooms, I need a little color in my wardrobe (and probably a little print too). Here are a few tops that caught my eye for work.

Too Many Tabs: April 19, 2024

This week, I fell mindlessly into my phone more than I think I ever have. My screen time went from 3.5 hours per day to 5 hours per day. But the increased eye strain did lead to some good finds. Just going to leave this right here.  (I really need to work on “Didn’t make […]
