This week, all of the photos accompanying the posts were of storms.  Growing up in Montana, it was incredible how fast the weather could change on the windward side of the mountains.  And sometimes, things shift.

It has been a difficult and tumultuous 10-days.  Highs and lows have both been extreme.  But the important thing to remember about storms is, no matter how violent they seem in the moment, they’re always temporary.  You just have to ride it out.

Are you reading my mind? My last 10 days have been pretty stormy.

    Hi Belle,

The links to the Cole Haan pumps lead to the same one, the Suede Vesta pump. Just letting you know.

  3. Kim says:

OMG the quotes from The Powerful Mind. I need to memorize them all.

  4. Jo says:

Somewhat related to the first link about work stress – this rang true for me: https://www.nytimes.com/2019/02/07/opinion/sunday/girls-school-confidence.html?action=click&module=Opinion&pgtype=Homepage Learning what is sufficient (and when perfection is unnecessary) is an underrated skill imo.

  5. Pam says:

Wow – great reads, thanks for sharing (great shoes too). Loved the one about work. I have a co-worker who has told me I need to care less (I’m one of those Virgos the article refers to). And the quotes/words of wisdom…. so much to think about!!

  6. Heather says:

A good friend of mine once shared with me “impermanence is a gift.” Things never stay the same way forever.

  7. Sam says:

Those quotes hit me in just the way I needed. Thanks for sharing them!

  8. Kathleen Lisson says:

    Loved the powerful article! Thanks!

Business Casual Outfit: Linen Closet

And just like that, it’s April. Summer is almost upon us, and the retailers are filled with linen wares. Now, you know that I am usually unwilling to wear linen to work due to the wrinkles. But in this post-pandemic world, perhaps my mind can change.
