Thirtyish Event: We’re Coming to NYC!

Oct 17, 2018

Hitha and I are on our way to the Big Apple for a new Thirtyish event.  Check out the invite below for more information!

What is Thirtyish? It’s a speaker series featuring honest, real discussions about life.  From career to family to money, and everything in between.  We talk about style, we talk about feminism, we talk about anything.

We called it Thirtyish because it’s for women of any age, but we both found that our 30s was the time when we needed less bulls**t and more empathy, honesty and community.  We’re starting smallish with our speaker series, graciously hosted by MM. LaFleur, but we’re going to be growing into the New Year with a podcast, a newsletter, and hopefully, if we can add a 25th hour to the day, a blog.

So come join us NYC-area friends next Thursday, October 25th.  We’ll be having our regular Thirtyish Q&A, but with a special guest, Tammy from She’s the First.  Don’t miss it!  RSVP here.

    Yay! Excited for this.

  2. Kelly says:

I’m very far from NYC but looking forward to everything 30ish has coming next year. (I even turn 30 next year!) I’ve loved your past newsletter recs, so can’t wait to read a newsletter of your own!

  3. Rachel Gold says:

A podcast! So exciting. Can’t wait to hear it – you ladies are my two favorite bloggers in all the land ????????

  4. CM says:

So happy for you two and ready for that podcast and newsletter! My personal feeling is that a blog isn’t needed, though I understand your need to have a permanent location out there. Maybe just a website with highlights from the newsletter and links to the podcast as well as highlighted partners?

  5. K says:

I’m sorry to miss this! I live upstate but am in NYC from time to time for work. This is awesome – hope there’s another opportunity in the future.

  6. Sarah says:

Any chance this can be livestreamed or recorded? I don’t live in NYC (come to Boston!) and would love to listen/watch.

VERY excited about the podcast/newsletter/blog. You and Hitha continue to be 2 of my favorite bloggers.

  7. Caleigh says:

This is great. You and Hitha are my favorites

  8. Adrienne says:

    Cannot wait for the podcast!!

  9. Jennifer says:

I also wanted to chime in with some excitement for the podcast. This sounds great!

  10. Kate says:

I’m so proud of you, Abra! Wish I could attend (alas, I’m in Cleveland), but I will settle for anticipating the newsletter and blog. This series is so welcome right now.

  11. Jennifer says:

Sounds amazing! So bummed I am actually leaving for vacation that day so I won’t be able to attend! Good luck with it!

  12. Samantha says:

Very excited to hear from you and Hitha in person and for all the forthcoming newsletter and podcast!

And just like that, it’s April. Summer is almost upon us, and the retailers are filled with linen wares. Now, you know that I am usually unwilling to wear linen to work due to the wrinkles. But in this post-pandemic world, perhaps my mind can change.

The Range: Spring Blouses for Work (or Zoom)

Since Sloane was born, I’ve fallen hard into a black, white, and blue wardrobe. This is not necessarily a bad thing, but as spring blooms, I need a little color in my wardrobe (and probably a little print too). Here are a few tops that caught my eye for work.

Too Many Tabs: April 19, 2024

This week, I fell mindlessly into my phone more than I think I ever have. My screen time went from 3.5 hours per day to 5 hours per day. But the increased eye strain did lead to some good finds. Just going to leave this right here.  (I really need to work on “Didn’t make […]
