Meet Prologue (Because I Don’t Spend Enough $$$ at Target)

Sep 25, 2018

I haven’t been inside a Target store in 18-months.  Why?  Because I lose track of all reason inside Target.  If I shop online, I might splurge occasionally, but I usually remove all of the “nice to haves” from my cart before checkout.  But in the store, Jesus take the wheel.

So when Target announced that they were creating a sleek, modern clothing line, I was sure this was going to be good.  The kind of pieces that you would spot in the store, and be unwilling to leave behind.  Here are five of my favorite pieces from Target’s new Prologue line, which also has some plus-size selections.

Asymmetrical Wrap Skirt ($25)

Puff-Sleeve Dotted Blouse ($25)

Longsleeve Knit Midi Dress ($23)

Faux Leather Tee ($25)

Midi Pencil Skirt ($23)

Words I never imagined myself thinking: I might need a sherpa longline vest.

I had almost decided I didn’t need to buy anything else for the season…

I just bought a couple of sweaters from the Prologue line when I was at target last week and they are absolutely dreamy. V-neck, oversized fit, a rayon/nylon blend which is super soft and I’m hoping doesn’t get too pills. I got them in black and a medium grey, and they also had a pretty lavender. I can’t wait to see more from this line!

I’ve found that it runs a little on the big side. I’m a solid 10 and found myself fitting their size 8 dresses. Sweaters where I would normally be a Medium fit better in a small.

I think I first head the line described as “workwear”, but “modern” fits way better. Though there are some great work basics in there. (Nice to see at the Target price point.)

This really makes me wish Target hadn’t tanked their foray into Canada.

    Love that midi pencil skirt!

The Find: A Versatile Sweater Jacket

It’s allegedly spring. However, for every minute of sunshine, there seems to be an hour of rain and gloom. So while I’d love to wear lighter spring pieces, it’s time to bring on the layers.

The Range: Spring Blouses for Work (or Zoom)

Since Sloane was born, I’ve fallen hard into a black, white, and blue wardrobe. This is not necessarily a bad thing, but as spring blooms, I need a little color in my wardrobe (and probably a little print too). Here are a few tops that caught my eye for work.
