Eight ‘Not Boring’ White Shirts

Aug 6, 2018

There’s nothing like the versatility of a white shirt.  You can wear it with jeans, with a suit, or with a ballgown skirt.  The trouble is that one white button-up shirt is a classic, two is snoozeville.  Here are eight white shirts that are equally versatile, but are anything but boring.

Munro Textured Button-down ($118)

NY&Co. Tie Front Wrap Top ($25)

Brecon Textured Blouse ($98)

Nic + Zoe Matte Satin Blouse ($118)

DvF Sleeveless Tie Front Blouse ($179)

Morave Buttondown ($78)

Joe Fresh Shoulder Flutter Top ($29)

Brooks Brothers Tie Neck Blouse ($149)

I really appreciate the effort to provide options at all price ranges. In this specific case, though, does the NY&Co look to anyone else like it’s intended to suggest that you’re busting out of it? Something about the design is just very va-va-voom to me.

@Kate, interesting, I didn’t get that at all. It’s actually my favorite. I’ve been looking for something that isn’t a t-shirt to wear with pleated midi skirts, and I think this would be perfect. Could also work with a high-waisted pencil skirt.

Love all the anthro tops, blown away that they’re recommending to hand wash them. I wish they had them in a local store so I could check them out. So pretty and summery!

@Kate I also immediately knew that top wouldn’t be work appropriate on me either. I think the level of vavavoom probably depends on what you’re, ah, working with.

It’s allegedly spring. However, for every minute of sunshine, there seems to be an hour of rain and gloom. So while I’d love to wear lighter spring pieces, it’s time to bring on the layers.

The Range: Spring Blouses for Work (or Zoom)

Since Sloane was born, I’ve fallen hard into a black, white, and blue wardrobe. This is not necessarily a bad thing, but as spring blooms, I need a little color in my wardrobe (and probably a little print too). Here are a few tops that caught my eye for work.
