My Best Picks from the Athleta Sale

Jul 25, 2018

My struggle with working out is always consistency.  Two good days, followed by three bad ones.  It was why I didn’t keep up with the Friday Fit Club posts.  Did I want to spend every week admitting that I ate pizza and couldn’t even finish my daily steps?  But then, one of your fellow readers had a pretty great idea.

Due to the success of the Community Group, she thought it might be a good idea to start a #FitClub group. We talk about challenges we face to working out, celebrate small wins, and discuss workout issues, like what to do with your hair if you sweat a lot.  We’re working on a Google Doc to track workouts (gold stars, anyone?), and we share tips and ideas freely.  We don’t criticize each other or discuss that #thinspo nonsense.  Come join us.

But back to the purpose of this post: workout clothes.  Better yet, discounted workout clothes.  Because I love a new top, and a deal.

Sunlover UPF Tulip Back Tee ($29, tall petite plus)

Linen Ruched Tee ($35)

Foothill Tank ($39)

Planner Skort ($39)

I haven’t worn a skort since 1996, but I’m kind of excited about this one.

Meshblock Salutation Tight ($59, petite tall plus)

Salutation 7/8 Tight ($48, petite tall plus)

A lot of cute swimwear in this sale.  Tankinis, supportive tops, and fun things, like this reversible scoop bikini top ($29).

Boardwalk Maxi Dress ($58)

Stellar Jacket ($69-$106)

I thought this could be a cute, casual work jacket.  It also comes in black.

Joey Sneaker by Vionic ($90)

Caraa x Athleta Tote ($89)

I love Athleta! If you haven’t checked out their hiking selection they have some amazing outdoors clothes. Over the last few years I’ve replaced all my old, ill-fitting stuff from classic fitness / outdoor brands with Athleta and I’ve been happy with nearly every piece.

  2. Jules says:

I’d always stayed away from Athleta and similar brands because they used mostly polyester for the pants. And I HATE working out in polyester pants.
Awesome to see they now use Nylon/Lycra, and has cute designs. Maybe I’ll give them a try.
I’ve been religious about my workouts for ten+ years. But uh….. VERY flexible with my diet ;P Now that I’m in my mid thirties, I’m struggling with the fact that I can no longer out-exercise my bad eating habits. Dang. Why are potato chips so delicious?

  3. Jen says:

Was this not the best sale?! I can’t remember when Athleta has had a sale this good! I also ordered the Boardwalk maxi dress in black olive….it arrives tomorrow, fingers crossed! And I also shockingly ordered a different skort, and trying to think of ways to wear it!

Business Casual Outfit: Linen Closet

And just like that, it’s April. Summer is almost upon us, and the retailers are filled with linen wares. Now, you know that I am usually unwilling to wear linen to work due to the wrinkles. But in this post-pandemic world, perhaps my mind can change.
