My Anniversary Sale Picks: Accessories, Beauty, and Shoes

Jul 12, 2018

Ah, the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale.  When I was a kid, my family would pile in the car, drive to the Nordstrom of my Father’s choosing, and shop til we dropped.  Today, the #NSale madness that so many bloggers subscribe to has taken some of the bloom off of the rose.  But that doesn’t mean there isn’t still great stuff on offer.  Here are my picks.

Beauty. Every year, I start in the same place with the Beauty Exclusives.  Why?  Because there are limited quantities and they sell out the fastest.

I already own this GloPro MicroNeedling Roller ($169).  I flipping love it.  It was the best purchase I made at last year’s sale.  It encourages collagen production, and helps build firmer, smoother skin.

Other items I own and recommend?  This Beachwaver hair curling iron (so easy) and this Foreo Luna face scrubber.  I would buy both of them again tomorrow.

Items that caught my eye?  This Strialite device to lessen the appearance of stretch marks.  I didn’t buy it, but I may come back to it.  I did, however, buy this Dermaflash device to remove peach fuzz and other unwanted hair from your face.

As for makeup, this Laura Mercier palette filled with soft neutrals and pretty pinks.  And, of course, no Anniversary Sale would be complete without the giant bottle of Creme de Corps lotion that lasts me all year.

Shoes, oh, the shoes.  This year’s selection was a bit anemic, but I did find a few pairs that I loved.  These red Cole Haan flats, Schutz tan sandals, Lewit flats with a cool ruffle, and knee-high black boots all look awesome.

Accessories.  If you’re looking to blow it out, I thought that John Hardy ring was just spectacular.  On the more affordable side of the spectrum, I fell in love with this Melinda Maria Queen’s bracelet.  For $65, it’s the kind of piece you could wear to any event, layer with other pieces, or just enjoy on its own.  For something simpler and modern, this Dean Davidson labradorite bracelet is incredibly cool.

Coats are one of the great staples of the Anniversary Sale, and this year, there are a lot of lovely leather options.  This collarless Vince jacket, Ralph Lauren drape leather moto jacket (to.die.for), and this plus-size Sejour moto jacket all caught my eye.

For non-leather options, I am eyeing this dark green J.Crew wool coat.  I am obsessed with the blue/green color.  If you live in a rainy, cold climate, this water-repellant Mackage down coat looks awesome.

The links aren’t working for me. I’d love to support you with affiliate links (also–good finds!).

    • Belle says:

So unless you’re a Nordstrom card member, you can’t shop the sale until July 20th. That may be why they aren’t working.

If not, what browser are you using? I checked them on our second computer and they are hitting for me.

  2. Gigi says:

Maybe it was a Nordstrom issue. Working now (chrome).

  3. Jenny says:

Does the sale start at 12 am ET on Friday? Trying to plan my alarm.

  4. Steph says:

I’m considering purchasing the GloPro. I’ve read several reviews which all say to apply serum immediately after use. Which serum would you recommend?

The Find: Bright and Striped

For the past few years, the wardrobes of many influencers have tilted toward the beige and boring.  I’m all for a good basic, but staple pieces can only take you so far.  Sometimes, you need to wear something that has a little something extra, and this sale-priced tee certainly does.
