Apr 19, 2018

This season, the trend on tap is florals.  And while Miranda Priestly might denigrate florals for spring as sarcastically groundbreaking, they are still lovely, feminine and perfect for the warmer weather.  Here are a few wonderful floral pieces in then under-$100 price range.

Oasis Floral Tea Dress ($74)

Lexi and Abbi Jenny Floral Pumps ($59)

Express Floral High-Waisted Skirt ($69)

Fashion Union Balloon Sleeve Dress ($56)

Happy Days Floral Scarf ($49)

Alexia Adamor Floral Sheath ($79)

Kate Spade Floral Print Blouse ($99)

      @Miranda Priestly

      At first I was like “Whoah … RUDE!” then I caught the name. Well played, madam.

    I don’t know…most floral pieces end up looking frumpy or stuffy. I wish there was a more modern way wear this trend.

  3. Monica T says:

    I really love some of the bold floral print dresses here, if only they were natural fibers. It gets hot in spring here in SoCal, and I would have sweat dripping down my back in a polyester dress. Not a fresh look.

    Re: wearable, affordable florals for spring, I am really in love with this WhoWhatWear tank from Target. It’s polyester, slightly lower quality than items mentioned in the post, but it looks fantastic tucked into a black pencil skirt and I love it.

Beauty Review: Bondi Boost

As I age, I notice many changes in my body. Most are fine. Some are frustrating. Like many women, I lost a lot of hair in my postpartum phase. Being anemic for more than a year after, it didn’t grow back in to its former glory. So I’ve tried any number of shampoos, pills and […]

The Find: Shirts That Don’t Gape

I remember when Rochelle Behrens launched The Shirt — a button-down blouse with anti-gape technology (a patented internal button that keeps the look smooth). The Mondays: March 18, 2024

This weekend was a tricky one. The warm weather and bright sunshine of last weekend disappeared in a flurry of wet snow trapping our very active 18-month-old in the house with us. Plus, our babysitter cancelled, so neither of us feels ready for the week ahead. But in between making mac-and-cheese and watching Aristocats for […]
